Stadil et Stadil, LE NON MOI is the name of our champagne – a corporation between me/THORNICO and Champagnekælderen.

For me, making champagne is alchemy for which reason it is a very interesting process too; slowly moving from only reading about and tasting it, to also making champagne. The plan is to come with a new Stadil et Stadil champagne every year made together with partners in Champagne and where we over time involve ourselves even more in the production process.

In addition, an accompanying clothing collection of the same name from Libertine-Libertine is yearly launched together with the champagne – check out the collection here.

LE NON MOI; French for anatta or no-self. Proust said that we are only alive when we are in the non-moi. When we lose the sense of something permanent and let go of our ego and self-consciousness.

We have been given the great honour to create a champagne in connection with and to honour the 100 years celebration of Prins Aage, the grandson of King Christian 9th.

100 years ago, Prins (Prince) Aage left my old regiment, The Royal Lifeguards, with the rank of Captain, to join the French Foreign Legion, the Légion Étrangère under the same rank, in 1923.

Following this, he was to stay in the French Foreign Legion until he died in 1940.

Besides honouring Prins Aage with a champagne, the Royal Lifeguards’ historical collection, in collaboration with the French Foreign Legion’s HQ in Aubagne alongside the French Embassy in Denmark, has an exhibition on Prins Aage, the Royal Lifeguards and The Legion which will be held at The Royal Lifeguards Museum from July 1^st to December 2023.
